Cascate del Dardagna
The Dardagna waterfalls are probably one of the best-known naturalistic points of interest in the Corno alle Scale area. It is possible to reach them on foot thanks to a forest road and then a path (number 331 of the CAI) starting from the sanctuary of Madonna dell'Acero, a splendid example of religious architecture immersed in the greenery.

Pliocene Buttress
A true open-air geological museum, the Contrafforte Pliocenico is characterised by the presence of fossils and shells which testify to the fact that in these places, during the Pliocene (5-2 million years ago), there was a sea.
A shallow sea with a tropical climate, composed of large bays where rivers flowing down from the mountain ranges flowed into the sea (where the Po Valley is now).
